The story behind Bluebonnets as the Texas state flower: aggie-horticulture

Planting, cultivating and fertilizing Bluebonnets from the Wildflower Center: www.wildflower2.org.  This site covers such things as seed scarification, fertilizing and hints about germination and dormancy.  Bluebonnet seeds are Texas Tough - not all sprout every year so they can tolerate drought (and some neglect).  The bluebonnets will reseed each year after you plant them and become fuller and more beautiful!
